Out of boredom last night at work, I decided that this morning instead of sleeping, I would bake fresh bagels from scratch. At this point, we had all of 2 customers in the entire store...so I left my register for about 15 minutes to shop. That was that.

This morning I broke out the flour and the yeast, which smells ungodly in the wee hours, added some salt, water, sugar..etc...yada, yada, yada

After kneading dough, cutting, boiling, drying and baking...they were finally finished. They were pretty damn delicious too.

Yesterday, in the rush between classes--me and Christine had to run over to another building to pay a bill. The walk across campus was pleasant, the air warm and breezy---it smelled of spring, it smelled like dirt. That should've been enough forshadowing.

We go in the building, but being lazy asses, we opt for the elevator instead of the stairs. The button lights up as its pressed, and we wait for it to reach our floor. Finally, there's the ding and the doors open...Christine and some girl walk in, and as I approach the threshold, the HUGE, HEAVY STEEL DOOR slams on me, crushing my right shoulder.

I grab my arm and walk inside. Random girl asks if I'm hurt, but being the Alpha-male that I am, I just say "nah, it didn't hurt."

The elevator gets to our floor, and we all get out....girl to the right, us to the left. I look at Christine with the craziest face imagineable and mutter "Fuck that hurt." She busts out laughing and we both stop to think that an elevator just closed on me. Later on that night, I had to hop an elevator to get to Bio....this time, when the doors opened, I jumped in.

I'm sequestered up in my room at the moment, while over a dozen cackling women sworm my living room buying sex toys and massage oils. did I mention how much I am enjoying the night.

work was fun today, mainly because I didn't really have to do much. I just sort of did what I felt like doing. for about a 1/2hr I stayed in the office making christmas ornaments for our bulletin board. not bad.

Our union had the "Health Bus" at the store today so we all went out and got checked out. The basic blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and breathing tests were done. My scores were pretty good, but the lady told me and a friend janis basically that we were fat and needed to exercise more. She recommended for everyone who went to walk "briskly" for 30 minutes, 5-7 times a week. ha!

thats all. i'm bored and alone. stupid dildos.

Banking sucks. I am literate, I can do simple math, and yet while writing out checks for bills last week and depositing cash into my account, I somehow was short $1.24. A DOLLAR FUCKING TWENTY FOUR!!! so I get slammed with a $30 overdraft fee....thirty bucks. The first time and most likely the last time I ever do that and I'm charged that much. what the hell?! ten dollars would have been fine with me. today, i got the smallest, shittiest paycheck ever. I work my ass off at that damn grocery store, put up with obnoxiously ignorant customers to get a check that is basically worthless. thank you, economy.

while I'm bitching, I missed almost every class I had this week because of a cold that I thought was the flu. Translation: I have to do assignments all day tomorrow to catch up. thank god its my day off. wish I had a major. ;^)

Halloween was sweet as hell and I'm looking forward to going back to Philly. Less than a month until Seussical!

Well today was definitely an experience.

At A&P we had a pet parade. Let me set you all up with a visual....about 7 old people, 7 dogs--mostly small, and 1 cat---my sister's kitten all in costume! I had to dress my sisters cat like a witch...retarded.

After that we had a Kid parade---about a 100 kids ranging from 6mos. to 12ish all dressed up and loud. this shit went on for hours and those kids blasted through about 12 bags of candy and a shitload of chips. its amazing how polite little kids can be.

At one point, holding a basket full of candy with one hand was too heavy so i held it out to the kids and told them to take some, most took only 1 piece so i let them have more. the really sad thing is that the parents were taking handfuls! one guy dug both hands into my basket and basically emptied it! i was fuckin pissed. people are so fucking greedy. they come to a free event where their kids make out like bandits and they have to ruin it by being fucked up and greedy...A-fucking-mazing.
